Imagine, a cozy fire, your favorite pet by your side, and a good book to read…lots of books! You’ll find those books, new and used at the BARKS & BOOKS! sales event on November 17 and 18 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Animal Shelter. Fiction, non-fiction, historical volumes, text books, cook books, best sellers, and possibly a very rare publication is what you will discover at the Barks & Books event.

You will also find some of the greatest pet companions to choose from, too! Faithful, energetic or reserved, always loving, and each one a very rare find indeed; the Animal Shelter has a large selection of pets ready for a new forever home.

Proceeds from the book sale will be dedicated to building a “Living Tree” recognition wall to pay tribute to the individual rescue organizations that have helped to save thousands of lives through their efforts. Hundreds of animals have been transferred to rescue organizations this year.
