In the spirit of holiday giving, the Black Advocates in State Service (BASS) are looking to make and giver personal care gift packages to the homeless. These packages will be distributed personally to the homeless, as well as presented to organizations that provide services for the homeless.

To make this happen, donations of the following are needed:

  • Small bars of soaps and shampoo
  • Socks (men & Women, grey or black)
  • Small bottles of lotions
  • Small bottles of mouthwash
  • Small bottles of deodorant
  • Small boxes of toothpaste and/or wrapped tooth brushes
  • Small shaving kits (for men & women) with small shaving lotions and razors
  • Individually-wrapped instant coffee pacjages and/or cream packages and stirrers
  • Individually-wrapped instant cocoa packages and/or individual tea packages
  • Individual sugar packets (regular and/or sugar-free)
  • Individual sewing kits (small) and/or individual first aid kits (small)
  • Clear or “holiday” printed cellphane gift bags (small/medium), gift tags and ribbon

Please drop off items at the Sacramento Chapter BASS Committee meeting on December 20 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Water Resources Bldg., 1416 9th Street, Room 133, Sacramento, or drop off items at the BASS Office on December 22 from 10am-12pm at 2251 Florin Road, Ste. 45, Sacramento.
