The Kings have agreed to trade guard Marcus Thornton to the Brooklyn Nets for guard Jason Terry and forward Reggie Evans.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 9 a.m.
Thornton, 26, was the Kings’ leading scorer for the 2011-12 season when he averaged 18.7 points, but he has struggled this season as his role in the offense has diminished. Thornton is averaging a career-low 8.3 points as the second-highest paid player on the Kings at $8.2 million.
Thornton has one more year left on his four-year contract at $8.7 million.
