It seems not even celebrities are above fan-casting. That’s what Fast and Furious actor Tyrese Gibson turned to instead of, you know, just calling his agent. He wants us all to know that he really, really, really wants to be Green Lantern in the upcoming DC Comics movie.
Tyrese has agressively been posting Photoshopped pictures of him as Green Lantern on Instagram. If you’re confused why he wants to be Green Lantern when a very white Ryan Reynolds played him in that terrible 2011 Green Lantern, it’s because there are several men who take on the mantle of Green Lantern — one of which, John Stewart, was a black man (and the coolest one, by the way).
