The California Caravan-Monday, November 16, 2020
The election is over, but our work continues. Now that we know Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States, we must send him and all members of Congress a powerful message that our government must work for the good of poor and low-wealth Americans, not the wealthy and corporations.
On Monday, November 16th, members of the Poor People’s Campaign will be joining car caravans in states all across the country. We will be demanding the government enact a full and just stimulus package that supports those of us hit hardest by the pandemic, that every vote be counted in this election, and that our elected officials come together to support the Poor People’s Moral Agenda and Jubilee Platform.In California, our car caravan will travel to the state capitol in Sacramento. People who can are encouraged to join in their vehicle for this trip, but there will be ways to participate remotely in the caravan as well.
