If you’ve scrolled through social media over the last day, you’ve likely seen folks posting about the death of Kobe Bryant. Or, maybe you yourself have felt sadness of the basketball star’s loss.
FOX13 spoke with a University of Memphis professor, Dr. Robert, Neimeyer, who said mourning the loss of someone you’ve never met is completely normal.
“Anyone we’re capable of loving or developing an attachment to, we’re quite capable of grieving,” Neimeyer said.
At the University of Memphis, Dr. Neimeyer teaches a course on the psychology of grief and loss.
