The International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute (IBWPPI) will hold its Fifth Annual Policy Forum on Thursday, September 19, 2013, in Washington, DC.
The event will discuss “How to Engage and Build International Response to Local Issues: Such as Human Trafficking, HIV/AIDS, and Economic Empowerment.” Guests and speakers will include Karen E. Richardson, associate director White House Office of Public Engagement, Lisa Williams, founder and director of Living Waters for Girls, and Nicole Chere’ Wood, programs specialist for Department of Homeland Security/Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
IBWPPI is the convener of hearings and discussions to evaluate the impact of current public policies and to initiate new policies that address major threats to the well-being of Black women, their families and communities.
